BEADING BEAT – OPPOSITES ATTRACT

Beading Beat (2)Today I’m sharing a necklace that I call Opposites Attract. I love the way the delicate crochet contrasts with the chunky blue beads.

The first thing I did was crochet the blue collar. For this, I used the blue crochet cotton that I purchased in a craft store. This took me about an hour to crochet, but the time it takes you to do it will depend on your skill as a crocheter.Jewelry 002

Then I sewed the ends in and attached the button. I couldn’t find a button the same color as the thread so I used a black button.

I used a silver headpin and strung a silver bead, then a clear hexagon bead then the chunky blue bead, the hexagon bead, and then a silver bead. I took my plyers, make a hoop through the earring, and then closed the hoop.

I repeated the same method but on the last step and looped the hoop threw the crochet cotton then closed the loop.

I love this necklace and every time I wear it a receive compliments.

If you are interested, give it a try. I think you love wear this set as much as I do.
